Precision Tooling![]() CNC Alley In today's competitive manufacturing environment, you benefit from tooling time that is much shorter than with a conventional approach. Rapid tooling is becoming a new norm for the industry. It can be used for both prototype tooling and for low-volume production. Auburn Engineering offers you tooling cost that is much less than conventional tooling. You also get the advantage of longer tool life and improved tolerances. A cost-effective solution for molded products, rapid tooling is the smart way to maximize your total tooling budget. It quickly and economically produces production intent plastic parts using cost effective tooling. Auburn uses aluminum, steel, cast kirksite and other tooling methods that offer superior results.
Kirksite Tooling![]() Kirksite Tool This durable metal tool is created by using our own metal casting operations to ensure a quality tool. Using a master model as a pattern, we cast zinc alloy (kirksite) to create this metal injection mold. Like steel or aluminum, kirksite can be textured, EDM burned, machined or welded. Virgin kirksite tools can be used with confidence for most products or materials and can often service a project requiring thousands of parts. Auburn's experience and strict use of virgin kirksite makes our tools stand above the competition.
Aluminum & Steel Tooling![]() Aluminum Tool Auburn builds cut aluminum tooling using industry-leading methods of tool design and insert creation. This saves our customers time and expense. Durability, changeability and processibility are maximized with aluminum tooling. Our team of experienced, dedicated tool designers and manufacturers are working to create tools accurately and on time.
